Baptism

One of the 'encounters' young folk Joni Harris is being baptised on Saturday evening in Strathaven along with his brother Daniel and sister Ashley. I will take the mini bus through if anyone wants to go along to watch please give me call or text to find out more. I have one young person at present who is keen to be baptised if you are thinking about it at well please speak to me about it. Ta

Encounters

Hi guys,
A forward notice for all YPG & YF. We are hosting Encounters next month. The date is 14th October and the venue is St Michael's Church halls. I am aware that a few of you will be on hols that week but i would appreciate as many as possible to be at the event to support the home church. Here is a few photos taken at the last event to give you a taste of what to expect!! We were the losing team last year and won the wooden spoon - we need to do better!!

We we have now had our first social evenings of the year and it has been lovely spending time getting to know the new faces. I have been delighted at the way in which the new YPG and the new YF have slotted in to the groups so well and thanks to the existing group members for making them feel so welcome.
This weekend coming is a quiet one for me however we are all together on sunday for a practice and review before taking the service on the 8th.

Thanks for behaving so well at the Cubitts and the Gilmores I hope they will have us back!

Praise in the Park - Photos

What a fab day last saturday we had great fun at strathclyde park watching the fit folk from St John's and elsewhere run a 10K race and then danced about worshiping God for an afternoon. Her is some proof of the good fun we had! thanks to those who came along.

The Big Mix

Friday 15th September. Come along and join me at the Glo Centre Motherwell to watch the football skills of Al Johnstone, hear the amazing testimony of a teenager who went the wrong way in life but is now a Christian singer, Gary Brotherstone.
We will be leaving St John's at 6.30 and will return home around about 10.30ish. The evening is free so that is very good value for money!!!!!
